Goodwill helps anyone having a hard time getting a job, whether you have a disability, a criminal record, or lack a high school education.  Whatever is preventing you from earning a paycheck, we'll help you figure out a way to work around it, overcome it, or work through it.  Give us a chance to help you, and we'll give you a chance to learn a new skill that will hopefully help you land a steady job.
 

Who is eligible

  • Persons who have legal documents to work
  • Persons who aren't using illegal drugs or abusing prescription drugs or who haven't abused these substances within the last 30 days
  • Persons who don't have charges pending (future court date that could result in the person going to jail and not being able to keep a job)
  • Persons who do not need assistance performing work activity *
  • Persons who have been released to the community on parole or probation (Goodwill can't help individuals who are still incarcerated)

* If you need help with performing job-related tasks, you may be eligible for Goodwill's Transitional Employment Services Program.

What you need to do to enroll

Have two pieces of identification required for employment:
  • Original Social Security Card
  • An up-to-date (not expired) government issued picture ID such as a driver's license
  • Work permit or green card for immigrants

Contact the Career Solutions Center in your area for more information or call 615-346-1249.  Just let us know your situation and the type of training in which you're interested.  If you don't know what you're interested in, that's okay.  Call us and we'll take it from there.

While Goodwill does not provide transportation services or bus passes, we do have bus stops conveniently located around our Career Solutions in Nashville. Transportation is the responsibility of our clients.
