Do you have a documented physical, mental, or emotional disability and want to work? If so, sign up for Goodwill's Transitional Employment Services. Through this program, individuals with disabilities can earn a paycheck while improving and developing job skills.
The services offered are tailored just for you based on your abilities. A Goodwill Transitional Program Manager will match you to a job in Goodwill's donations, retail, or production departments. There may also be opportunities for work in an office-setting. Individuals must be able to learn to work independently or may be provided with temporary job coach assistance as they adapt to the work environment. The program is designed to serve adults as well as students still enrolled in high school. All participants must have two pieces of legal documentation showing eligibility for employment in the United States.
Our goal is to help you develop the skills for permanent employment primarily within Goodwill. In some cases, employment assistance outside of Goodwill may occur. The After School Employment Program is a part-time opportunity designed for students 16 years of age and older who have a disability and an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Students learn valuable job skills in a paid work environment. This work is offered after the student has completed his or her school day or on the weekends. The program is individualized to the student based on abilities, interests and schedule as possible.
Goodwill funds 100 percent of Transitional Employment Services and the After School Employment Program.
*Since Goodwill cannot provide transportation, all participants must have transportation to and from work.
